11 Ways On-Site Chefs Beat Cabin Fever With Caribbean Cuisine

While world travel remains a distant dream as pandemic winter turns into spring, Stony Brook University’s catering team is helping the locked-in campus community make a virtual getaway through food. .

The students there – who in the past would have planned spring break – are as crazy as the rest of us. And so, the catering team’s new series, Global Night, turned out to be a beautiful, bright place, with a taste of Cuba, featuring a few creations by chefs.

“With travel restrictions due to COVID, Global Night is a great way to take students on a culinary journey around the world,” said Van Sullivan, executive director of the Faculty Students Association.
