The Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant celebrates the grand opening of its new location in Stratford on August 27, with an official ribbon cutting, free food samples, reggae music and other festivities.
The new restaurant, at 140 E. Main Street (The Dock), is Golden Krust’s second outpost in Connecticut, following another in Hartford. The grand opening runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with free patties for the first 100 guests and samples of jerk chicken and miniature cocktail patties.

The menu also offers a wide variety of patties, from classic beef to pepper shrimp, spinach and even a plant-based Beyond Meat option. Other items include soups, natural juices, and baked goods, including sugar buns, coconut cake, banana cake, hard bread, and duck bread.
The Stratford Restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and dining options. Call 203-502-1926.
