What should fans know about Lizzo’s new vegan recipe?

Lizzo recently made the rounds on TikTok, and it wasn’t alluding to her great songs or her killer outfits. Instead, she could make it incredibly easy to understand and prepare vegan recipes.

Recreating restaurant recipes was a hobby during quarantine, and several people took it upon themselves to create hearty dishes. And Lizzo was not excluded.

She’s tried the most popular food trends, and recently tried a vegan chicken recipe from McDonald’s.

A basic McDonald’s McChicken is a fairly essential menu item, as it only requires a crispy chicken patty, iceberg lettuce, and mayonnaise. However, the singer made hers vegan and made a video telling her followers how to make one in a few simple steps.

Her Vegan Story

The “Truth Hurts” singer originally announced via her TikTok in June 2020 that she was going vegan. At the time, his TikTok followers were around 8.8 million. After seven months and 12 million followers, Lizzo has shared her vegan recipes and meals.

She features meat, egg and dairy alternatives from Good Catch, Califia Farms, Beyond Meat and Eat Just in her videos.

She has also posted videos of herself cooking meals such as vegan Brussels sprout nachos, vegan hash browns,
Jamaican vegan patties stuffed with meat and cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon.

The singer has also extended his support for local vegan restaurants. His first video on TikTok was all about a hot honey vegan sandwich and fries. She got this meal from Lettuce Feast, a vegan food truck located in Los Angeles. The video showed her happily springing up and eating her vegan meal. She pointed out that the sandwich, which replaced the fried mushroom chicken, was sufficiently spiced and seasoned between bites.

When talking about the fries, Lizzo compared them to “that Dorito that’s perfectly seasoned in the bag.”

Silence the Body Shamers

The multiple Grammy winner was also known for sharing body positivity and stopping the body shamers.

Early last year, she posted a video of herself eating a vegan egg sandwich in her underwear. She also attached an audio clip of a woman who said, “I see way too many plus size vegans. Do you all fry the lettuce? »

The singer clapped back vigorously and added as a caption to her TikTok video, “Yes, actually I do. Shout out to all my fat vegans – we look as good as we feel. And haters, good luck chasing that standard narrow beauty.

In October 2020, Lizzo graced the cover of Vogue magazine. It was the first time a plus-size black woman had been featured on the cover of Vogue magazine.

“I’m the first great black woman to grace the cover of Vogue magazine. The first black something feels late. But our time has come,” she said at the time. “To all my black girls, if someone like you hasn’t done it yet, be the first.”

What does the McChicken recipe include?

In the video, she baked crispy vegan nuggets and sweet potato fries in her oven. After that, she toasted bread, which was supposed to be vegan.

The singer also showed a short video of garlic powder and a Red Hot seasoning mix, which she also sprinkled on the nuggets and fries.
That was before she put the nuggets and fries in the microwave to reheat them.

Next, she greased one side of her toast with vegan mayonnaise. Once the chicken was hot, she assembled the sandwich with two chicken nuggets to cover the bun, iceberg lettuce and bam!

She served her toast with sweet potato waffle fries lying on the side. “Spicy Vegan McChicken idgaf this shit was hitting hoooooo,” the video caption read.

These aren’t the first vegan recipes she’s posted

After taking a look at Lizzo’s TikTok, admirers and fans will have plenty of vegan recipes to try.

Funny videos of the singer trying to test new recipes and getting shamelessly authentic abound on her channel.

The singer showcased recipes like Vegan Cheezy ‘Chicken’ Pizza with Arugula, Vegan Turkey Wraps with Collard Greens and Vegan Nachos with Brussels Sprouts.

She hacked and recreated the viral Feta pasta. As feta was the main ingredient, vegans felt left out. However, Lizzo came along and changed the status quo by using chicken peas (fantastic protein) and creamy vegan goat cheese.

She also recreated her favorite hangover food. Because she wanted to fully commit to vegan living, she posted a TikTok where she made cheese eggs.

The “Rumors” singer also presented a plant-centric alternative. The food incorporated black beans, egg substitute, corn, smoked paprika, vegan Carne Masada, spinach, garlic powder and vegan pepper cheese, all topped with a side of bacon vegan.
